Who visits

Expect a mix: trade buyers and distributors during the business days, then a much larger general public crowd. Plan your stall for both, and make it easy for a trade buyer to identify themselves.

Before you go

A few things worth sorting out before the first day, based on what buyers at this kind of show usually ask for.

  • Decide what changes at your stall once public days begin, such as who handles trade enquiries and whether you sell samples.
  • Keep a separate way to capture serious trade enquiries so they are not lost in the public-day crowd.
  • Give every piece a reference code that matches your catalogue and price list.
  • Show sizes, materials and MOQ, and say clearly if a piece can be customised.
  • Photograph best-sellers well. Buyers often shortlist from photos after the show.
  • Show pack sizes, shelf life and storage conditions for each product.
